Description
A Risograph print is super cool, but what is Risograph printing? It’s like screen printing but done through the mechanics of a Risograph machine. With a limited palette of vibrant, soy-based inks, Risograph printing produces a distinct and tactile finish. However, these inks can smudge when handled, so take care of your print.
What makes Risograph printing special is its imperfect quirks. The nature of the printing process means that prints may have variations in marks and alignment. These imperfections contribute to the unique character of the Risograph print. As a result, your print may vary slightly from the one photographed.
Colours can look different on screens than in print – it all depends on how your screen is set up. It’s worth noting that the Risograph print may vary from the photograph, although I have made every effort to ensure that the picture accurately represents the colour of the print as best as possible.
Risograph printing uses a low-energy process with soy-based, non-toxic inks and plant-fiber stencils, making it a sustainable choice.
I enjoy printing on recycled paper stock, make an effort to use biodegradable cellophane bags and reuse packaging whenever possible.
